It started somewhere pretty ordinary: sitting at a wedding, eating a very average vendor meal, and talking about the day with my second shooter. We did what photographers do: encouraged each other, hyped each other up, and talked through the little moments and images we loved. Eventually, we landed on black and white photographs. "They just feel different-- Like you could reach right into them.”
I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I wanted to create a place where there were no distractions. No overthinking. I wanted to make the simple everyday moments feel significant through black and white.
These are short, intentional shoots photographed entirely in black and white: a mix of film and digital. Think casual clothes, a favorite corner of town, martinis on a patio, walking the dog, thrifting, swimming in your backyard pool, or playing at the park.
Love Is Black & White is for couples, families, friends, and individuals who value nostalgia. For those who want images that feel lived-in, honest, and enduring.
